What would you most like in your dream bathroom?

In a national survey of most coveted bathroom designs, Americans said they'd most like to make their bathrooms bigger.

Slightly behind a larger bathroom, American homeowners said they would add a new showering/whirlpool system. A whirlpool, followed by a complete shower system and a double sink vanity, would create the ideal bathroom, survey respondents said.

In homes where space may be limited, homeowners either expanded their bathrooms so they can include a whirlpool, or they remove old bathtubs and replace them with whirlpools.

The number one choice for accessories would be a skylight to allow more natural light. Homeowners also like to dream in luxurious style. They would pamper themselves by installing a heated tile floor, a stereo system, heated towel bars and a TV/VCR.

While American homeowners may want to outfit their bathrooms with any number of features and gadgets, when it comes to style, Americans prefer a more traditional or country style bathroom that won't date itself in a year. Americans also are attracted to a more contemporary style.
